Wakimul Islam Rifat was born in Brackpara village of Ward 05, Chougacha Municipality, Jessore. From birth, he faced severe physical challenges. Just one day after his birth, while his mother was holding him, a slight pressure caused his arms and legs to fracture. Doctors confirmed that Rifat had muscle and bone issues, marking him as a child with a disability. Despite these early challenges, his family has nurtured him with unconditional love and support. His younger sister, in particular, has been a constant companion, helping him attend school and assisting with his studies.
Rifat began his education at Chougacha Residential Model School & College and later attended Chougacha Model Secondary School, where he graduated with an A grade in SSC in 2025. He is currently studying at Chougacha Government Degree College.
Beyond academics, Rifat has a passion for creativity and innovation. In his free time, he engages in electronics research and social projects. He has built electric guitars and headphones and even creates smartphones through recycling projects. His innovative skills and confident communication have earned him recognition from local authorities.
Since 2024, Rifat has been actively involved with the Amraf Foundation, participating in various training sessions, awareness programs, and skill-building initiatives supported by Lillion Funds and CDD. These opportunities have helped him grow personally and socially, empowering him to contribute meaningfully to his community.
For his creativity, leadership, and positive impact on society, Wakimul Islam Rifat was selected as a member of the Youth Forum. His story is a testament that disability is never a limitation—courage, determination, and creativity can lead anyone to success.
